Next month the Caribbean will throw its very first electronic dance music festival in Ocho Rios. Ocho Rios is surrounded by lush rainforest, rivers, and waterfalls. Once a fishing village, it now serves as a busy port town with a cruise ship harbor, attractive to tourists. Festival goers will have three days and three nights to revel on the beach not only to electronic dance music artists, but popular reggae artists as well. The organizers are going all out, offering a meal plan for an additional cost. Per the website, meal plans will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

For those who enjoy beach festivals, Paradise Lost is offering camping with beautiful views of the mountains and ocean. Camping amenities include free hot showers that will be available from 6 a.m. to midnight, free WiFi inside the 24-hour Internet café, free water refill stations, free charging stations for mobile phones, designated camp lockers, flushable and/or portable toilets in every lot, a general store, and camping activities in Tent City.

Artists on the lineup include Tiesto, Bassnectar, Audien, Big Gigantic, Color Guard, Titans of Sound, Prince Fox, Zio I, Lance Herbstrong, Oliver Lord, and Caroline D’Amore to name a few.

I have been listening to edm ever since and love writing about new sounds, good sounds, and the music that makes us move.
