Heyhey! Back again with a new playlist for all the DoD friends & fam. We’re in the thick of summer and I’m feeling the heat: ’tis the season to boil at day parties, right?! I’ll confess I’ve been avoiding gigs in the daytime hours (sorry Will Clarke– I did throw in “Mirage” cuz I still love ya lol), but I’ve been playing plenty of latenight afters recently, and I’ve got some tracks here that have been burning up the dancefloor even when the sun’s nowhere to be found. A ravey acid anthem from AK SPORTS, “Cops In The Club,” and the stellar Viers remix of Justin Jay’s “Vale of Tempe” have had the kids howling at 4am. I’ve dropped in some breaks from Hugo Massien and my mate Cut Snake, alongside Pass The 40’s tech house B-side “Automatic Booty” that earned him his debut EP on CODES’ imprint Holy Mole this summer. Drake’s new album drop inspired me to dig back for a former favorite of mine, “Get It Together,” with Black Coffee, and I threw in a classic from Quincy Jones to keep it funky.
