Hey DoD fam! It feels like summertime is finally here. This month you’ve got 15 new ones coming in that I’ve had on repeat hangin by the pool or kicked back on a blanket in the grass. I went heavy on the funk this time around, with the classic “I Love You More” by Rene & Angela and an obscure deep cut, “Edit A” by Lazare Hoche that I found when I was prepping for a recent disco DJ set. But you know I’d never leave you longing for some breaks: “Tendo” by Kolter lays on the gamer’s nostalgia, paying homage to our favorite digital plumber brothers, and Mary Droppinz’ “Cool Intentions” cuts classic dance samples with chill breaks and an inspiring message from Queen Bey. And this month I had to start us off with a special one from my Fantastic Voyage family, Dan McHugh aka Schmultz. We’re missing Dan so much, and keeping his memory alive through his music. “Feels Right,” features his stylish original vocals, and honoring him in this month’s playlist really does feel right <3
