Let me start by saying this last birthday was absolutely incredible; a major part of that being gifted tickets to see one of my all time favorite trance artists, Paul van Dyk. Not only was I ecstatic I could finally cross his name off my must-see list, but with his ninth album “Music Rescues Me” dropping in a matter of days, I was so ready to get a sneak peak of his new music.
This was my first show at Stereo Live Dallas, and it was a perfect match for Van Dyk . Stereo Live Houston will always be home, but the brick walls and close quarters of this venue keep the old school warehouse vibe alive, and make for an edgy yet intimate experience with some of your favorite artists. With Van Dyk being such a high profile artist, it was exciting to get to view this show so up close in person. Bringing a futuristic meets ethereal feel, the visuals were beautiful and highly complimented the bold, space-travel like trance van Dyk was spinning.
If there’s anything I can tell you from this experience, it’s that you do not want to miss a show from Paul van Dyk if you’ve never experienced him live. Second is to check out his new album “Music Rescues Me”. It was recently released December 7th, 2018 and full of powerful collaborations, including “Voyager” created with December’s Trancesend guest, Alex M.O.R.P.H. Keep dancing, stay tuned, and much love!
