The Adriatic Sea is bordered by the Italian Peninsula, Veneto, and the Balkan Peninsula. In the summer, the waters ranges from the low 70s to the high 80s, allowing for maximum enjoyment. This summer, the Adriatic coast welcomes the Electric Elephant festival home once again.

Electric Elephant will take place on the Adriatic coast in Tismo where one can sun bathe on the beach while Balearic music plays nearby, lounge on music boat parties, explore the great, majestic outdoors, and then dance into the night. A signature part of the festival will be the Main Stage, a stage surrounded by tranquil water.

At night the beach will welcome harder, faster beats and if that is not enough, Electric Elephant’s famous after party at Barbarella’s Discoteque will keep your body moving well into the early morning hours. All that is needed is a simple boat ride to the after hour festivities. Five days and five nights of house, disco, and electronica will be served up.

If you are wondering what to bring in terms of money, the currency of Croatia is the kuna, although what you buy will be priced in euros, then charged in kunas. An ATM will be available on the festival site. An additional eight ATMS will be available in the centre of Tisno. Just be sure to bring enough currency to enjoy the many different dining options that will be available. There are many restaurants and cafés in Tisno in addition to the food outlets that will be available on site, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Beach Bar will keep your cocktails flowing but if you wish to explore Tisno, there will also be many bars and cafes to imbibe in.

Wonder how you will arrive at what you may want to be your final destination? It’s easy. The nearest airports are Zadar, Split, and then Zargreb. Zadar is 40 minutes by car, Split is 60 minutes by car, and Zagreb is three hours by car. Transportation to and from the festival comes in many different forms so if you were worried about how to get around, there will be several options to choose from. One can hire a car if over the age of 21, take the bus, or hop aboard a Tisno party train that holds 40 people. The trains can ferry you between the festival entrance and to the centre of town throughout the day and into the evening. Finally, there are taxi boats you that will take you from Tisno to nearby towns, as well as to the Barbarella’s after parties.

Accomodations include a camping site in Tisno, air conditioned on site apartments, Camp Shikar comprised of 29 Shikhar tens from Jodhpur, apartments and hotels in Tisno, and five refurbished Airstreams that can sleep four people each. There is a lot planned for those that venture to this coastal paradise, as Electric Elephant wants rest and relaxation to be only a part of your experience. Electric Elephant Festival allows for the more adventurous to go sailing, venture to Ancona or Zadar, seek stres relieving massages in Tisno, and participate in morning yoga sessions.

Currently the lowest priced tier of tickets is at £100.00 per ticket with a £10.00 service fee. You can purchase a Double Whammy Pass, priced at £175.00, which allows you into Electric Elephant and Love International Festival, including the handover party at Barbarella’s on July 6. The Double Whammy All Inclusive pass, at £250.00 a ticket, gives you the same deal except you have acces to all of Barbarella’s after parties. More ticket information can be found here.

I was listening to electronic dance music without even knowing it when I was listening to Jock Jams in the 90s. Fast forward to my senior year in high school and I had discovered Fatboy Slim. I have been listening to edm ever since and love writing about new sounds, good sounds, and the music that makes us move.
