If you’ve enjoyed a long weekend the last three days, chances are you’re back at work today and not quite ready to handle reality. Lucky for you, these poppin’ fresh videos from Cassius and Getter will make you escape into a world that just might make you crave reality again.
Cassius — Action ft. Cat Power, Mike D (directed by TOILET PAPER)
The old school is back in this funky new track by French duo Cassius, featuring Cat Power and Mike D. Transported via photo booth, Philippe Zdar and Boom Bass touch down in a meta interpretation of ‘60s tiki psychedelia with plenty of added tropical strangeness. We’re talking chicken leg high-fives, floating space fingers, pizza turntables, sausage jail, and whatever the hell is going on with those gorilla suits.
Getter — Rip N Dip (directed by Liam Underwood)
Getter and squad are back to Grim Jim’s Burgers for more tainted lunch in this trippy AF sequel to “Headsplitter.” It appears that Getter himself has fully transformed into Grim Jim, and takes special joy in watching his unsuspecting friends lose their shit. The best part (besides the phenomenal animation) is Getter’s facial distortions and expressions, which aren’t too far off from his hilarious snaps and vines.
Join us next week for more music videos, and happy Monday!
