#MusicVideoMonday —The Arts and the Fashions for #NYFW

There’s nothing like the feeling of strutting down a long walkway with the perfect song, style that slays, and an attitude that makes the basic tremble. In honor of New York Fashion Week, which officially begins Thursday, Feb. 11, here are some music videos to inspire you to make the world your very own catwalk.

Hervé x Zebra Katz — Tear the House Up

This video has everything. Gold eyebrows, plastic frilly collars, and what I can only describe as a haute couture take on the Big Mac. Not only do directors Ghost+Cow (Brandon LaGanke and John Carlucci) teach the fundamentals of subject and setting, but the track sets the pace for a proper street stomp where you look at everyone, thinking, “I’m that bitch that does it like that.”

Martin Solveig — +1

Martin Solveig is known for anything but average music videos. In “+1,” actually directed by Solveig himself, the weird gets super stylish, complete with its own hand gesture. Honestly, what I wouldn’t give for that eyeball leotard, those mouth sunglasses, a couple dogs in hats and legs or lipstick collars, and those damn dance moves.

Happy Monday, everyone!
