If you’re just as excited as I am for BlackGummy’s return after all these years, then you’re probably enjoying this recent slew of new music he’s been gracing us with. Week after week for the past month, BlackGummy has shown a brilliant return with singles such as Potatoes & Meat, No Romance and now CheckYourPocket.
CheckYourPocket is an addictingly progressive Electro track that infuses Techno elements that help drive the ever-rolling tempo. The title of the track being the very intro with those machine-like vocal sample lay the foundation of the banger you’re about to hear once the drop hits. This is a song you want to listen to driving in a neo-metropolis at night.
Having followed BlackGummy during his early days on Mau5trap, I appreciate so much that he’s stuck to his roots after all these years and hasn’t changed his style at all. His craft remains just as unique as it ever was from day one and as is ever present now. Now that BlackGummy’s back, let’s hope he’s officially here to stay.
