Grime Fest 2025 brought chaos in all the best ways. The lineup was stacked with heavy hitters and unexpected pairings, with the legendary PHASEONE headlining and a sea of B2Bs that kept the night unpredictable. Names like RATED R, USABFLOW, FELMAX B2B FUTURE EXIT, HEXXA B2B SHYST, PHYSIXX B2B PATHS, and so many more filled out the roster… It was basically a basshead’s dream come to life.
The crowd may not have been as packed as past events at 9PM, but honestly? That made it even better. The open space gave the night a more intimate vibe, letting people move around freely, breathe between drops (rare luxury at bass shows), and really connect with the music and each other.

Standout Performance – RATED R
The set went way harder than I expected. Known for their tearing riddim, they surprised everyone by weaving in hard dance twists that turned the pit into pure madness. The tempo switches, the bouncy kicks, and the way the crowd fed into it, it was one of those sets you don’t forget. It felt fresh, alive, and way more versatile than just a wall of heavy bass.

PHASEONE – The Headliner Punch
Of course, PHASEONE was the one everyone was waiting for. They brought their signature metal-meets-bass energy that always feels like a punch straight to the chest. Every drop hit hard, the live edits slapped, and the die-hards on the rail gave it everything. While the smaller crowd meant the roars after each drop weren’t as deafening as past years, it didn’t stop the loyal fans from losing it. You could feel the love in that pit.

The B2B Overload
This year leaned heavy on B2Bs. On one side, it was exciting watching so many DJs share the stage, tossing in wild mashups and unpredictable track choices. On the other, it sometimes blurred the lines of each artist’s individual style. There were moments where I wanted just a little more time to really sink into one artist’s world instead of bouncing back and forth nonstop. Still, it kept the night moving at a wild pace, and no one could call it boring.

Production & Vibes
Sonically, the system was solid, though with the thinner crowd, I kept wishing for just a bit more range and depth to fully wrap the space. But the lasers, strobes, and visuals made up for it, keeping that signature Grime Fest chaos alive.
What stood out the most though wasn’t the production, it was the crowd. Even with fewer people, the energy was unmatched. Everyone was there for the love of the music, plain and simple. Rail warriors were sharing water, headbangers were hyping each other up, and there was this shared sense of family that gave the whole night a warm undertone.

Final Thoughts
Grime Fest 2025 may not have been the most packed edition, but it didn’t need to be. It brought the heavy bass, wild twists, and community vibes that make nights like this special. If future editions balance out the B2Bs with a little more artist variety, it could easily reclaim its spot as one of the most talked-about fests of the year.
Until next time, here’s to the rail-riders, the shufflers, and the bass faces that made Grime Fest 2025 one to remember.
Rating: 7.8/10 – Solid vibes, standout sets, and a little too B2B-heavy for its own good.
