Hey there DoD friends and fam, I’m back to drop off another heavy freight of tunes that I’ve been loving and rinsing this season, and whew, it’s hot! My feet are finally back on the ground after playing my dream gig this summer: Dirtybird Campout. Wow. What a feeling. I ran through several of these selections on that main stage, and the festival goers were here for it.
No shortage of genres here, you know how I like my playlists. Starting off funky with plenty of 4×4 groovers, then running through a few hey-I’ve-heard-that samples in “Moxy Edits 001,” “Materi,” from Leonardo Gonnelli, and Milion’s “Back In The Spot.” We move into some speedier energy from Jackmaster and Skream (who makes another solo appearance), and Riordan and Stanton Warriors, before hitting the breakbeats with one of my favorites, “Ridin,” from Spaze Windu. Other big mentions that wreck the dancefloor are “flight fm” from Joy Orbison, Champion and BAKEY’s “International Man,” and “Serotonin,” from MJ Cole brings all the feels. “Cryin’,” by J Wax went off in my Campout set, and then Netsky takes us into the finishing lineup of DnB tunes: most of my picks here were feel-good easy rollers, but Y U QT closes it with an absolute stanker, “Y’all Ready For Dis,” and yes its the sample you think it is. Insane!
Stay Safe, and Enjoy <3
