Feature: Edward White
Yo DoD crew! I’m back to give you some more of those good-good IDs, and introduce you to another awesome artist homie of mine, Edward White!
Edward came into my world when he joined Justin Jay’s first 5-week music production bootcamp back at the end of 2020, and went on to become one of the first artists to journey through our 6-month artist accelerator program. He set the bar extremely high for us in terms of both quantity and quality of his productions, and still continues to be an inspiration to our Fantastic Voyage family. He’s gone on to sign records to well-respected labels like Shall Not Fade, Steppers Club, Lobster Theremin, Dishevelled London, Berlin Bass Collective, and many more. Last year he appeared on the stellar 10 Year Anniversary remix album of Justin Martin’s Ghettos & Gardens, and most recently he joined the ranks at Dirtybird Records with an EP on their forward-thinking genre-bending White Label series.
Edward White has been a huge influence in my growing love for both DJing and producing UKGarage and 2-step tunes. He’s easily taken top spot as my number one most-played producer, and I’m overjoyed to have finally had the honor to begin a collaboration project with him this month that I can’t wait to share with so many dancefloors. Edward’s Fantastic Finds are “Should’ve Known” from Gorgon City, Nathan Micay’s “It’s Recess Everywhere,” “See Me” by Oppidan, camoufly, and SHIMA, and a Darius remix of “RISE.” We’re featuring his new “Endlessly” EP, available now on Dirtybird, and I’ve slotted in plenty of liquid, breaks, house, garage, and deep tech to keep you groovin through the month.
Huge love to the DoD fam, and keep your eyes on Edward White!
And as always, stay safe, and enjoy <3
