Feature: CODES
Back once again! Very excited to bring another round of fresh finds here at DoD, and feature another awesomely talented friend of mine. NY-boy, DJ/producer, and guacamole extraordinaire, CODES joins us this month to share some tunes he’s loving.
Many of you may be familiar with CODES from his mega-releases on labels like Night Bass, Box Of Cats, Dirtybird, Farris Wheel, Psycho Disco and many many more. These days he’s also the man-in-charge at Holy Molé, turning out big tunes on his own imprint, and even bigger compilations like his fan-favorite yearly release, “Winter Fresh.” He’s also built an incredible online community through Twitch, and still pops in on the regular to throw down DJ sets up to three times a week! An absolute madman on the decks, he’ll go for hours playing through his newest house promos, or digging through old record crates and treating his audience to sessions of “Vinyl Therapy” on Sunday nights. I have to say his streams built a HUGE appreciation in me for DnB, and any fans of the genre are really missing out if you’re unfamiliar with CODES’ platform.
Cody has always shown me so much love as an artist and member of his community, and I’m super grateful to support him here at DoD with this little collab. His Fantastic Finds are “Keep The Party Going” from The Sponges, PhyzEdd’s “Acetate,” and Cave Studio – “Wait A Minute.” I’m featuring his current releases, “Beats Up,” and “Feel The Pressure,” with Q Music, both on Holy Molé. Next to his picks, I’ve lined up tracks from Foreign Concept, Soulecta, Prunk, Nikki Nair and Sam Binga, and others, with a huge collab from Danny Goliger and Choopsie on Dirtybird’s new White Label.
