I’m Good (Blue) – Tiesto Remix David Guetta, Bebe Rexha, Tiesto
Now, I know what you’re thinking.
“Tom, this song is made by big names/mainstream artists” duh.
But hear me out.
I chose this track in particular because of several things.
For starters, not only did David Guetta and Bebe Rexha changed a classic of a tune into a feel-good/living-in-the-moment anthem. TIESTO gives his take on the track with his signature sounds and melodies.
After singing Bebe’s vocals, Tiesto builds up the energy into a crescendo that releases into a drop (that I can only imagine is fitting for a guy like Tiesto) filled with C02 and flames.
Now the last thing on why I selected this song.
Personally, I can see myself DJing this seamlessly into my electro house sets. What I mean is that the possibilities of mixing this song in and out of other tracks are endless.
For example; I’d mix the original track made by David Guetta, then, when it’s time for the build, play from the build up for the Tiesto Remix all the way to the drop.. and boom, mix out and into your next track.
All in all, say what you want about mainstream music. But for me, the lyrics are what made me write this review. Could I think the drop could be better with its sounds? Sure, yes. Other than that, everything else about this track is good for big festivals when it comes that time of year.
