Gorgon City just released their third album “Olympia” this past June 25th. It includes their single, “Tell me it’s True”, which is my favorite track from their album. This past year I’ve learned to appreciate listening to albums in their entirety to really feel the intention the artist/band had behind it. The rollercoaster of emotion the album creates takes you through synths and drops, and a very euphoric electro deep house trip.
This is also the first album the duo has completed from separate locations, literally different continents. Matt Robson in London and Kyle Gibson in Chicago. The inspiration behind Olympia was Greek mythology. “With Olympia, we really wanted to combine the two worlds and make an album that you can really play in the clubs as well as at home.” – Gorgon City, Forbes.
This album contains 18 tracks. Each track creating a different atmosphere that flows into the next perfectly. “Tell me it’s True”, creates the feeling of a new hopeful beginning which is perfecter the first track of an album. “Body Language” is the fifth track of the album, and nine contrast the vibe it creates is flirty and playful. I really appreciated the versatility Gorgon City created with this album.
Here are all the tracks from the album, check it out and let me know how it made you feel!
