The gift I didn’t know my life needed this year. Deadmau5 (Joel Thomas Zimmerman) and Canadian singer songwriter Lights(Valerie Anne Poxleitner) have blesses us with another collab. They first teamed up in 2018 and created “Drama Free” and have also performed “Raise your Weapon” along with “Drama Free” on stage at Ultra Music in 2019.
I’ve always loved Lights pop punk vocals, and in combination to Deadmau5 l progressive techno this is one of my favorite summer new releases. Light keeps it playful and dreamy with the lyrics while Joel combines his signature bassline drops. This track release came out just in time for his Tour which started early July. His upcoming tour dates are as follows:
