New Music Monday: Francesco Sambero – Ghosts EP

This week’s New Music Monday is a brand new EP from Francesco Sambero, a rising star in the progressive arena, that we’ve been following for some time. The EP already has support from Super8 & Tab, Cosmic Gate, and Kyau & Albert, and is out now for his debut on the new on Scorchin’ Progressive.

Tagged as “dedicated to all girls who ghosted me,” the EP does not sound like anyone giving anyone the finger. The EP starts out with the hauntingly beautiful title track, “Ghosts” which has a classic proggy feel and thoughtful, rhythmic synths, layered with soaring, ethereal female vocals, and a perfectly timed and satisfying drop halfway. Next up, “Can’t Anybody See” turns up the lushness and wastes no time bringing on an introductory synthy build and drop that kicks off the track proper with some octave splits, and nails it home with some driving rhythmic drums.

We’ve probably listened to the EP about 20 times at least, including the extended versions, and our only complaint is that it isn’t longer! We can’t wait to see what he does next!
