Madeon (or Hugo Leclercq) has now released his second single for his forthcoming album Good Faith, which fans can experience, along with a tuned live show, at his upcoming Texas shows in December. The guitar-led single is delightful synthy pop at it’s best; incredibly catchy, glitchy, warm, and welcoming with hopeful lyrics reflective of his cross country trip that inspired the album. With almost a million listens in a single week, this one is definitely catching the airwaves on fire. Give it a listen and let us know what you think in the comments!
Lyrics:
Today the world is gonna do me right
The sun is rising in my head
Until I just cannot believe my eyes
And you tell me it’s another phase
Does it matter if it’s real or not?
I don’t think I’ll ever have enough
Make it so the fire doesn’t stop
Are you listening to me?
Don’t tell me that I might I will be fine again
Tell me that I might I will be fine again
Tell me that I might I will be fine
Let my body do me right I say I will be fine
Can I make this my home?
I’m still coming into my own
“You can’t keep falling into my arms”
“You can’t keep falling into my arms”
But what is there is all that I knew
When it’s time to do what I do
It’s all I need from you
Say are you listening to me?
Don’t tell me that I might I will be fine again
Tell me that I might
I will be fine again
Tell me that I might
I will be fine
Let my body do me right
I will be fine Don’t let me down
I’m up again
I’ll keep it around
Another day
If I fall to the ground
I’ll come again
I’ll stay awake for a lifetime
Awake for a lifetime
I will be fine
