Trance lords Super8 & Tab released yet another killer single last week, ‘Seconds Away’, premiering on Armin van Buuren’s A State Of Trance radio show and on dance music bible Dancing Astronaut. This is their latest since last month’s release of ‘True Love’ and looks to be a continuation of their success.
With a rhythmic bassline and UK singer Sarah DeCourcy’s ethereal vocals, the track elicits a surge of energy. This dynamic single is complete with trance atmospherics and danceable breaks, as well as moments of wide-eyed stargazing feels.
Musicians Super8 (Miika Juhani Eloranta) and DJ Tab (Janne Mikael Mansnerus) teamed up in 2005 to form Super8 & Tab, producing DJ mixes, and releasing several singles leading up to their first studio album, “Empire”. Living up to their previous album would prove to be difficult, but with the release of “Unified”, the pair demonstrated their progress with a lyrically more refined volume and variety of sound. ‘Seconds Away’ is a track that stands on its own, as well as serving to tease audiences for what is left to come. With “Reformation: Part 1” dropping this Friday and more new music set to drop from “Reformation: Part 2” throughout the next couple of months, Super8 & Tab have built even more anticipation for 2018.
All in all, this track is a Super 8 out of 10, and we are looking forward to what else these guys have to offer this year.
