Beatcore- Summary

Introduction

Welcome to February 2018’s edition of On the Radar Artist of the Month! This series focuses on producers with high quality sound and track development that we feel are under-recognized and should be garnering more attention than they currently are.

For our third installment in the series, we will learn about an overseas artist that dives into many heavy hitting genres. Based out of Baden, Austria, the artist has released a compilation of various bass music tunes across a number of record labels including Splatter Paint and High Intensity Records.

Though his track record of live shows is small, the quality of Beatcore’s music production is insane. His lackluster social media following and low play count on Soundcloud are not valid representations of what he is able to create. Beatcore is capable of creating heartstring-pulling future bass as well as aggressive dubstep. Should his creative and clean production continue, we believe he will soon be a well known name in the bass music genre.

Music Production – Originals & Collabs

Easily taking the throne as Beatcore’s most played track on Soundcloud, “Just Stay” was released on NCS and reached a current total of 127k plays. Ashley Apollodor, a vocalist whom he seems to favorite, loans her gorgeous voice for emotional lyrics over a beautiful and melodic future bass tune. The track maintains an atmosphere of pleading and passion, with energy rising during the vocal’s emphatic plea and following with a crescendo of tension during the powerful drop. Just Stay is resonant and deep, and is a fantastic introduction into who Beatcore is as an artist.

Released as part of Beatcore’s debut EP on Most Addictive Music, Click Clack takes a much darker tone and truly showcases the producer’s skill in other bass genres. Unlike his future bass tunes, Beatcore wastes no time during his intro and build, setting an eerie theme for the rest of the song and giving a glimpse at the level of heaviness that is to come. By keeping the vocals short and sporadic, all attention during the drop is focused on the massive bassline that changes each drop to keep the energy sinister and grimy. The artist creates a song that uses the defining sounds of dubstep and bass music, bringing the listener back to the underground.

Beatcore’s track “Run” featuring Ashley Apollodor, a Splatter Paint release, is an impassioned and rousing song, making a call for those who are listening to run to what they desire. With delicate lyrics telling a story of survival and acceptance, Beatcore creates a compelling story that inspires confidence and determination. The track starts off with emotionally charges lyrics over a light piano, gathering intensity as the synths and drums are introduced throughout the break and build. Vocals are pulled back during the drops, where the tune’s essence takes form through heavy bass and light, melodic synths. Ending with a quick energy drop and lyrics claiming that “we own the world”, one is left with a feeling of courage and fulfillment.

Conclusion

Though unsigned, Beatcore shows huge potential as an artist of the bass music genres he has laid claim to. His music is refined, high in quality, and expresses that he has the talent to become a household name in bass music. With exceptional skill in both future bass and dubstep, his music would be a good fit for the bass loving United States, and we would like to see the Austrian producer’s works played here in the states. We believe that the future is bright for Beatcore, and look forward to further mind-blowing productions in the coming year.
