This weekend marks the second annual Day for Night, a budding festival phenomenon that has created buzz since its inception. The hallmark of Day for Night is the musical and artistic ingenuity permeating through all aspects of the festival, from the performers to the visual artists to the stage designers. Free Press Houston and creative agency Work Order have teamed up to bring a roster teeming with unadulterated talent. Day for Night is unabashedly Houston, with artist on the bill that are Houston based or hail from Houston. Such acts include but are not limited to Josh Dupont, From Beyond, DIVISION, Kult Dizney, Splendid Emblem, Pfaff, Wild Moccasins, and Kam Franklin from the Suffers.
Electronic dance music fans will be pleased to know that their music taste has not been forgotten. Kaskade, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, and Jock Club are some of the artists that will provide well-rounded musical balance for festival goers.
