At ADE this year, one instrument will be featured considerably and that instrument is the MODEL 1 mixer from PLAYdifferently. Two years of development went into designing the most efficient and innovative instruments, one of them being the MODEL 1 mixer that debuted in May of this year. The mixer won the Innovative DJ Product award at BPM in Birmingham and continues to garner acclaim.
The MODEL 1 analog mixer comes equipped with a fully balanced mix buss, zero crossing detection, and master EQ routing. Djs will be pleased to know that the MODEL 1 has six fully featured input channels, two stereo returns, Input pre-amplifier drive control, hybrid filter/swept bell EQ, dual cue system, dual mixer linking system, and a Tascam DB25 connector system.
PLAYdifferently’s award winning mixer will take center stage at ADE this year as the instrument of choice for artists that will appear at the ENTER.presents.EXPERIENCES night that will take place at Loveland ADE on Friday, October 21st. Artists include Richie Hawtin, Recondite, Gaiser, Matador, TM404, and Julian Jeweil. You can see all of these visual performances in the Technology room.
The ENTER.sake area will have B. Traits, Adriatique, Hito, and Julia Govor to highlight the best of his ENTER.sake music series that combines music and his boutique Sake collection. The Music.by Minus area will delight with the sounds of Fabio Florido, David Sidley, and Carlo Ruetz. These artists have seen their tracks released of Richie Hawtin’s Minus label and will provide a third area to witness the MODEL 1 mixer in action.
ADE card holders and ADE Conference delegates will also be able to attend one of two exclusive MODEL 1 masterclasses at the Amsterdam Dance Event. One masterclass will be led by Dj Ambassador Matador and the other by Richie Hawtin. Both masterclasses will be followed by a Q&A from the audience. Matador will demonstrate his new performance set ups and show how he uses the MODEL 1 mixer in the recording process. PLAYdifferently Product Specialist Alex Zinn will also be present for an interview. Richie Hawtin’s masterclass will feature Hawtin and the Model 1 mixer.
