The decision to go out to KSD this week was truly last minute. After a hellacious week, the inspiration to go out was really low, despite us wanting to see Luca Bacchetti. We sucked it up, called a cab, and headed out for the night.
We got there just as Luca got on at midnight. The crowd was thick and very much into the music. The “no dress code” policy did little to deter the beautiful and fashionable. Within the first 30 minutes we had obtained drinks, ran into some very old friends, and were able to jump right into the zone.
KSD is always a solid dance party and this one was no exception. Although we probably needed something a little more energetic that particular night, we still stayed and danced until right before close, and found our happiness. Luca Bacchetti played an interesting range of music, from techno to deep house, from soulful to experimental. This was not a single style set, and it all flowed together beautifully. His set was solid, beautiful, chaotic, and inspirational.

Talented DJ, great friends, friendly and beautiful crowd, great location. Great beer and hard liquor selection.
CONS
Heading to the party fresh off of 3 -4 hour of sleep nights was not the smartest. Luca played amazing, but we needed something more driving to keep us going. We also got shoved around a LOT, more so than pretty much any other party ever. We also got 2 beer baths with zero apologies (At that point we were so exhausted, we just sucked it up and kept dancing). We had a bartender that ignored us for nearly 15 minutes… until we dropped a $20 on the bar. Overall, minor issues for an excellent night.
