Have you ever wanted to party on the grounds of a castle? Well, the music festival Wooded has you covered. The chosen venue for this year’s event is the Centrum Kultury Zamek (The Castle) in Leśnica, Poland. The festival site will be at the Schlosspark of the Zamek Culture Center. Wooded aims to be environmentally friendly, with most of the production and equipment made of wood and other recyclable materials. There will also be workshops to connect people and motivate them to interact in creative spaces.
Grzegorz Demianczuk and Wojciech TaranczukPolish, more famously known as catz n dogz, co-founded the festival. C&C Bookings and Feast Artists will be combining forces again to put on the second year of Wooded. The line up will feature some of the best electronic music acts from Poland and beyond. Adults and children alike will be welcome to Wooded, so if you have offspring you want to bring, know that Wooded will have a special zone that is free of charge for families that will be open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. This family friendly zone is open to not only those who purchased tickets for Wooded, but for parents in the community who would like to participate in the festivities. Newborns up to children 12 years of age can be in the Wooded Family Zone. Separate tickets must be purchased. These tickets will be available June 4 at the entrance door.
So how does one get to this unique festival in Poland? There are several options. One can travel by tram, bus, car, taxi, and by train. The train is supposedly the fastest way of getting to Leśnica per the festival website. For more detailed travel information, go to the website’s travel page here.
Before the festivities begin, there will be a party in Pietro Niżej at 19 Ofiar Oświęcimskich Street. Wooded Festival will begin at 2 p.m. on June 4 and end at 10 a.m. on June 5. If you need to take a break from the festival, bear in mind that there will be no re-entry. To enter the festival you must have a valid and unbroken band. The only ones that are allowed to reenter are parents at the Wooded Kids Zone. One other important thing to note is the methods of payment that will be accepted at the festival. The bars will use coupons that will be sold in bulks of 5 for 20PLN (a little more than US $5). One coupon equates to 4PLN (about US $1). The Food Zone will only accept cash. Do not bring your credit or debit card as they will not be accepted.
