Not many festivals can claim that they manifested from the passion and drive to change the world. Exit Magic is one of those festivals, born in 2000 from a social movement spearheaded by students who wanted to make waves in Serbia and the Balkans. Per the festival website, Exit Magic is “a movement, a symbol of progress and a motor of change in the society, but also the leading platform for creative industries not only in Serbia, but in the Balkan region as well.” The social consciousness of this festival makes it unique and has served as a vehicle for charity and social action since its inception.
Exit Magic will bring together the worlds of electronic dance music, funk, hip hop, and pop in Serbia this year from July 7th to July 10th. This annual summer festival will take place in Novi Sad at the Petrovarardin Fortress. Known as the second largest city in Serbia, Novi Sad borders the Danube River and serves as an important cultural center in Serbia. While visitng Novi Sad for Exit Magic one should consider visiting Novi Sad’s several museums. The most famous among them is the Museum of Vojvodina, a museum that highlights Serbian culture and life throughout history. You may or may not be swayed by the sights of this corner of Serbia due to all of the great music acts that will be at Exit over three days.
Exit’s talent roster can be experienced across 20 stages. Artists set to provide the soundtrack to your days and nights are Marco Carola, The Prodigy, Hot Since 82, Dave Clarke, Hernan Cattaneo b2b with Henry Saiz, Goldie, Zomboy, Modestep, James Zabiela, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, hip hop maestro Wiz Khalifa, and many more.
A centerpiece of Exit Magic is Exit Village where visitors can gather to camp, make new friends, and bring the good vibes from the festival to Strand Beach, the site of camping for Exit Magic once again.
Volunteers will be working at the Village and will be available 24 hours a day. Among the volunteers will be security to patrol the grounds and ensure the safety of villagers. Toilets will be available at the Village in addition to showers with hot water, sinks, food and beverage for sale, a store selling camping equipment, and a recharging station. A camping wristband will grant you access to the village, but will not going to grant you entry into the festival.
