Happy Thursday everyone. Hope you are ready to be knocked on your ass. This week’s #tbt selection is Pendulum’s 2005 BBC Essential mix. It is 2 hours of driving, hard, heavy and speaker-busting beats. Pendulum has been around for quite some time, and long before the EDM generation fell in love with Knife Party, drum n’ bass and jungle lovers alike found them bobbing their heads and moving their feet to the Australian trio. This set includes some DnB staples, such as Ed Rush and Optical, Noisia, Chase and Status, as well as some funky Freestylers & Pendulum collab tracks. I especially enjoyed the transition from Billy Corgan’s “The Cameraeye,” to the Baron “At the Drive In” track. They truly threw down on this mix, focusing on an eclectic selection of tracks and smooth, effortless transitions.
I hope you’ve had a good week and that you enjoy this throwback mix.
