In honor of Ultra Music Festival, this week’s mix comes from the king of trolls himself, Deadmau5. Noone ever said that he played by any rules, but we were still a little surprised when he threw the unwritten rules for A State of Trance at this year’s UMF totally out the window. The Mau5 played an unconventional, but totally enjoyable set that was techno heavy, with a smidge of trap, and closed with Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades.”
He wasn’t totally just for shocking the masses though, and sincerely thanked them for the opportunity. “Thank you guys for having me. Thank you, Armin. We cool. Thank you ASOT.”
