Last month over 3000 people descended on Marrakech for the second annual Oasis Festival for three days in a musical paradise that nourished mind, body, and spirit. The festival offered refreshing dips in pools alongside the stage, yoga, and fantastic views of the Atlas Mountains. Oasis Festival is becoming the premiere travel destination for those who want a laid-back vibe under a vibrant Moroccan sun that will give way to an energized evening of swaying bodies and lifelong memories.

The Source is one of the world’s premier music resorts and was the host to this year’s Oasis Festival. From the gorgeous grounds to the exemplary service to guests, The Source ensured that the best music and vibes flowed throughout the venue. International headliners such as Maya Jane Coles, Jeff Miles, Derrick May, The Black Madonna, and Tale of Us provided the soundtrack to an exquisite summer holiday. Oasis Festival goers were also treated to the lush sounds of Morocco’s Fassi. His set was recorded live and you can now stream or download it below.

Next year Oasis will take place September 15th through September 17th. Hurry to http://theoasisfest.com/tickets/ to grab the 100 presale tickets available for only €100. Find out what Europe has discovered about this intimate festival and fall in love with another part of the world. If you wish to travel back to a time of bliss, beats, and days kissed by the sun, check out the aftermovie of Oasis this year, shot by Geschikte Gasten.

I was listening to electronic dance music without even knowing it when I was listening to Jock Jams in the 90s. Fast forward to my senior year in high school and I had discovered Fatboy Slim. I have been listening to edm ever since and love writing about new sounds, good sounds, and the music that makes us move.
