Aphex Twin announced his first U.S. show in eight years and it’s at the 2nd annual Day for Night right in our hometown of Houston! Houston Free Press launched Day for Night last December as a cool mixture of art and music. I had the pleasure of attending and branded it the “Festival of the Future” because it totally was everything that a festival should be and more. The official lineup gets released tomorrow (September 14th) at 10 am.

The second edition of Houston’s Day for Night festival takes place December 17th and 18th. Among the performers is Aphex Twin, a producer for the festival confirmed to Billboard. The appearance will mark Aphex Twin’s first show in the United States in eight years; his last appearance was at Coachella in 2008. Currently, Aphex Twin has no further touring plans, a rep confirmed to The Department of Dance.

Aphex Twin released a new EP called Cheetah earlier this year after his trio of 2015 releases releases: his LP Syro, the Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments pt2 EP, and the Orphaned Deejay Selek (2006-2008) EP. Recently, µ-Ziq (aka Mike Paradinas) reissued his album with Aphex Twin, Expert Knob Twiddlers.
